About me
Ian Williamson
Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer
A former professional Scottish international 1500M track runner and a Loughborough Graduate.
I provide a personal approach for all my clients with proven training systems developed over 10 years as a fitness professional and former international track athlete.
I have an Advanced personal training diploma from Lifetime fitness and I am a fully certified REPS level 3 trainer. TRX Trainer, kettlebell and Spin instructor, boot camp instructor.
I’ve been a fitness professional for over 10 years, working with all types of clients from pro-footballers, track athletes, county and national junior tennis players and pro-runners to those who have never been into a gym or partaken in a sport in their lives.
I work closely with physios, GPs and sports therapists in the Cambridge area for those coming back from injury.
I am fully first aid trained and insured.
My knowledge and style of training along with my support and motivation will push you past your limits through consistency and hard work.
All standards of fitness and all ages are welcome with training specifically tailored for individual needs.
Not shy of a challenge, in 2018 I took on the Lands End to Jon o’ Groats cycling challenge, cycling over 100 miles a day for 9 days. Competed in the World Masters v40 indoor 3k, silver medalist 2023 and have completed the London to Paris challenge 2023 consisting of 4 half marathons in 4 days in a relay team of 5.

At 70+ I still love to ski. Throughout the Autumn I religiously follow what is known as Vintage Williamson ski-fit routines, quite simply they work. First or last day of the snow-season, I don’t suffer.

I take part in a circuits class lead by Ian every Friday evening with 4 or 5 mates on Zoom. It’s a great workout to end the week, with good tunes and the right level of banter to keep things light hearted. These classes have really been a highlight of my week! And has definitely kept me going. During lock-down, these classes have really been a highlight of my week!
